Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She was secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a political contributor for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaigns in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats running for U.S. Senate. Psaki then became deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was communications director of Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, and the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 until 2006. Psaki was the press secretary for the Obama reelection campaign in 2012. [20] Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] Her hiring in the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney when he left the White House, on May 30th, 2014 it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. In the year 2015, she returned to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
